I grew up in an Italian family. My maiden name is one of those “hard to pronounce” Italian names and my grandmas cooking lived up to that name. As a kid, my sister and I BEGGED for her spaghetti and she knew how to whip up some delicious meals. Michael Angelos must have talked to her because they’re food tastes as authentic as grandmas.
Michael Angelos and Sauteed Zoodles
Sometimes when life gets busy and meals get rushed. You know how it is…. running form work to errands to home with little time to create a meal for you and hubby. 2018 is just plain busy!
Growing up, we sat around the dinner table, relaxed and connected with each other. With all the tech demanding our attention, sometimes these simple moments get lost. Michael Angelos is just the thing to kick start your meals and give you the opportunity to slow down and connect.
Michael Angelo’s can be found in the freezer section of Walmart, right where all the frozen dinners are, making them convenient to pick up when you’re at the store. And you can get some cash back with this deal from Ibotta too!
There are so many options to choose from! From pasta to chicken, you’ll find a meal for you to make when you’re short on time, especially this time of year.
I selected the White Wine Lemon Chicken Meal Starter for my delicious dinner. Although it was hard to pick one to try first….. they all look so good!
Let’s make some sautéed zoodles
My dinner for two was made easy (and delicious) with Michael Angelos White Wine Lemon Chicken. I cooked up some sautéed zoodles and red onion to accompany the chicken and it was easy to make with just a few simple steps.
Sauteed Zoodles and Red Onion
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 large red onion cut into slivers
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder
- 3 medium zucchini squash spiraled
In a large heated skillet, melt the butter. Add the wine and onion, Italian Seasoning and garlic powder. Cover and cook about 5 minutes.
Add the spiralized zucchini and salt and pepper. Stir. Cover, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes.
I served my Michael Angelos chicken over the sautéed zoodles because I watch way too many cooking shows and wanted a fancy looking dish to serve hubby. And just because it’s a busy weeknight doesn’t mean you can’t make it fancy.
And if you’re a deal hunter like I am, check out this deal on Ibotta that I mentioned earlier. I’ve been using Ibotta for I’m not even sure how long and they are a deal hunters dream.
