I love won tons. I love a good holiday appetizer. So this holiday season, I decided to combine both my loves into a delicious cranberry and brie won ton that is festive and tasty.
Tis the season… for entertaining, cooking and enjoying time with family and friends. There is nothing like a holiday gathering to get you in the spirit and I sure do love to have people over.
This year, I decided to combine two of my favorite app ideas into one. Won Tons and Brie. Yep, brie is a favorite of mine and Joan of Arc Brie is just the ticket to make a delicious holiday appetizer.
It’s all about adventure in the kitchen, right?
Brie cheese has a delicious creamy texture that works great on crackers, mixes well with mashed potatoes (a personal favorite) and is an all around party food.
If you have jot heard of Joan of Arc brie cheese, let me tell you about it.
Joan of Arc fine French and French-style favorites are recognized throughout the United States for their exceptional quality and flavor. And you can taste that quality with every bite.
Here’s how it helped me with my holiday appetizer. This recipe is three ingredients…. just three! Can’t get easier than that right?
Brie and Cranberry Holiday Appetizer
This super simple recipe has only three ingredients; Joan of Arc Double Creme Brie, Cranberry sauce and won ton wrappers. You can make just a few or make dozens it’s up to you! The recipe I have here serves 2 won tons each for 6 people.
- 12 won ton wrappers
- 6 – 12 oz Joan of Arc Double Creme Brie
- 6 teaspoons of your favorite cranberry sauce
Just lay out your won ton wrappers on the counter by each other. It’s best if you sprinkle a tiny bit of flour down first so they don’t stick ,
Next, lay about a half ounce of cheese on top of the wrapper. If you want to use a full ounce, go for it! Tip: make sure your cheese doesn’t have any hard corners that would break through the wrapper.
Add a half teaspoon of the cranberry on top. Tap a little water on the edge so it sticks when folded. Gently fold the edges together and press down to seal. Tip: After you fold the edges together, lift it and hold it like a taco and seal the edges that way. It will help prevent the ingredients from busting through.
Spray the basket of the air fryer and place the won tons in the basket. I have a 5.8 quart fryer with an extra rack so I don’t have too much trouble getting htem on all there. Spritz the top of the won tons with a bit of cooking spray
Cook at 350 for 6-8 minutes. Serve.
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake them in the oven on a lightly sprayed cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 350. I find the air fryer cooks faster.
Creamy, cheesy goodness right here in an appetizer. The sweetness of the cranberries and the creamy texture of the cheese make for a delicious and easy holiday appetizer your guests will love.
