Your Top 10 Recipes of 2016 are revealed!!
This has been quite a year, hasn’t it? I’ve had so much fun creating delicious and fun recipes for you this year. As I look back at the most popular, I found that your interests have a wide variety of flavors and tastes. Let’s now take a look at the top 10 recipes that YOU loved this past year.
Fiesta Sloppy Joe Dip
By far the top post. You sure do love your football/game day appetizers don’t you? Well, they are also some of my favorite posts to do since we are such a football family! I love the ease and versatility of this dip. It goes with bread, crackers and I even dipped carrots in it. Can’t go wrong at all with this one.

Shrimp over Lentils with Spicy Barbecue Sauce
This recipe was part of my “Crazy Ingredient Challenge” group and the ingredients that month were lentils and molasses. This was so fun to make. I had never used molasses in my life in any recipe so this one was a challenge to say the least.

Parmesan Fiesta Corn
We can eat corn on the cob 7 days a week. It’s probably one of my favorite veggies, especially when it’s in season and it’s grilling time. This one was popular with you BBQ’ers since it was a bit out of the ordinary. Try this in 2017. You’re welcome.

Peanut Butter Cookies
My favorite cookie of all time. Peanut butter. Well, peanut butter anything usually gets my motor running. The biggest problem with these is you can’t just eat one. Or two. Hubby had to hide them from me. PS – They were made with peanut powder, so healthier!

Eggplant Involtini
Again, eggplant was popular. The stacked eggplant parm hit the top 10 a couple of years ago and it did again this year. These roll-ups were easy to make and had an amazing taste. In 2017 when eggplant hits it’s peak again, this one will surely be on the menu.

Scallop Pasta Primavera
Scallops hit the list twice this year (scroll down for the second one). I will say, cooking scallops has always been intimidating to me. Gordon Ramsay makes it look so easy on Hell’s Kitchen, but it scared the crap out of me for the longest time. No longer. I have it figured out and you will too.

Baked Salmon with Creamy Mushroom Sauce
The picture does not do this meal justice. Fresh spinach pasta, salmon and “creamy” mushroom sauce that’s actually not horrible for you. Trust me, if it hit the top 10, it was amazing.

13- Bean Turkey Game Day Chili
This game day chili was popular with you, but also with my family. I know 13-bean sounds cray-cray, but it worked great. I had some 13-bean soup mix and turned it into chili. Who says you have to do things exactly what the package says? I think it added something special to this chili. Topped with chopped corn chips and a dab of sour cream, it was sheer perfection.

Slow Cooker Ham & Bean Soup
Perfect for holiday ham leftovers, or just any time of the year. Right now it’s 19 degrees where I live. 19 DEGREES!!! I want this for breakfast.

Baked Scallops with Pancetta and Garlic
Here it is…. #10 and yet another scallop dish. Adding bacon and loads of garlic made these individual scallop dishes just plain yummy and you thought so too. I served it with crusty garlic bread that I could dip in the juices of the dish. OK, now I’m starving.
