Chili Jumbo Shrimp Stir Fry with Mangoes #SecretRecipeClub

June 5, 2016

A shrimp stir fry you’ll love. Sweet, savory and spicy!

Chili Shrimp Stiry Fry with Mangoes. Sweet, spicy and savory. This recipe has it all. Serve over noodles for a nice light dinner or by itself as a starter.

Happy Happy Monday to you!  Today is the Group A reveal day for The Secret Recipe Club.  I have probably been in this group at least six months now. I’m loving this club and have met so many fun, creative food bloggers. This has to be one of my favorite Monday’s since we all reveal our recipes at once.  This month assignment had a ton of choices to pick from. However, this Chili Shrimp Stir fry was right up my alley. It’s sweet. It’s spicy and it’s GOOD!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Secret Recipe Club here is a brief description. Each month, one member is assigned to another member from their group secretly (hence the name). That person selects a recipe to make and creates a blog post. Everyone in the group posts on the same Monday together and gets to see who had their blog and what recipe(s) they chose.  And since there are four groups, each Monday of the month is a new “reveal day.”

This month, my assigned blog was Lavender & Lovage. Karen was born in South Africa and now spends her time between southwest France and North Yorkshire. She’s a freelance writer along with being such a creative cook.  She is currently working on a cookbook and has a cooking school in France. The next time I travel to Europe, I may pop in and visit her.

As I begin exploring, I noticed Karen has some unique recipes on her blog. I live in the US, she’s in Europe so I was excited to see what her recipe index contained.  I was first drawn to the Chili Peppered Chicken with Vegetable Goat Cheese Stacks since I love a bit of spice with my food and I can’t pass up something with goat cheese in it.  I next noticed the Smoky Sweet Potato, Bean and Chili Enchilada. These vegetarian enchiladas looked amazing! Then there was the Baked Camembert in a Box with Chili Pepper Jelly. I may make this one when I’m alone since hubby dislikes camembert. It means it would all be mine.

Sensing a theme here? I love the spicy side to foods. I finally decided to make the Chili Prawn Stir Fry with Mangos. Yep, another recipe with chili peppers. And I just love mangoes!
