Today is the Group A reveal day for The Secret Recipe Club. I love this club since I get to learn all about a new blog and discover delicious recipes. This has to be one of my favorite Monday’s since we all reveal our recipes at once. This month assignment had a ton of choices to pick from. However, this baked salmon was mouthwatering good! Read on to hear about this deliciousness.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Secret Recipe Club here is a brief description. Each month, one member is assigned to another member from their group secretly (hence the name). That person selects a recipe to make and creates a blog post. Everyone in the group posts on the same Monday together and gets to see who had their blog and what recipe(s) they chose. And since there are four groups, each Monday of the month is a new “reveal day.”
My assignment this month was My Hobbie Lobbie. No, not the craft store but a really awesome blog . Tricia left the corporate world to focus on her passions for baking and crafting. She likes collecting recipes and crochet patterns which she shares on her blog. She lives in Australia with her husband.
Her recipes are a wide variety of delicious foods from everywhere. She also includes traditional Goan recipes she learned from her mother and there are so many I want to try! I was intrigued by the Caldeirada (Goan Fish Stew) which looked amazing. I love fish & seafood so I know this will be made eventually. I also had my eye on her Prawn Chilly Fry with Coriander Speckled Rice since I enjoy things a little spicy. And Nana Braganza’s Beef Stew is a recipe from her husbands family. It looked amazing.
I finally decided to make her Baked Fish with Mushroom Sauce. I read the recipe and knew immediately this was the one. Her recipe calls for Basa Fish, which are a species of catfish. I had never heard of it and Hubby does not like catfish at all so I used salmon instead.
