Are you ready for the big game? I am and we’re having our second annual party this year. We’re so into football and enjoy watching it every week. Although Hubby and I disagree on who the best team is, one thing we really enjoy is watching them with family and friends. This year, I needed something amazing for game day and this Fiesta Sloppy Joe dip featuring MANWICH and Ro*TEL is going to be the hit of the party.
There is nothing like a hot appetizer dip to really get me into the game day spirit. I love making snacks and appetizers, but I also don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen creating it. That’s where MANWICH and Ro*TEL come in. Both items are delicious and convenient to use so you can cheer on your favorite team while eating something yummy that didn’t take all day to make.
I found everything I needed for this delicious dip at my local Walmart. The Ro*TEL was right there with all the canned tomato products and the MANWICH was with the canned meats such as tuna. I had a hard time finding it, so I just want to let you know where it is so you don’t wander around the store looking for it.
I decided fresh bread was in order for this sloppy joe dip rather then a chip or cracker. I just love Walmart’s fresh bakery and they have the perfect slim baguette that I sliced up to pile the dip on. Nothing better then soft fresh bread!
There is always so much to do when you throw a party, regardless of the reason. Since this is our second annual big game party, we know there will be a bunch of folks over and they’ll be hungry. I have enough to worry about and this easy sloppy joe dip recipe will not be one of them. MANWICH & Ro*TEL take all the guesswork out of this recipe.
Let me give you a trick on making this dip even easier. The recipe includes cream cheese and you need to soften it prior to making your dish. Who has time for that? Instead of waiting for it to soften on the counter, simply cut it into cubes and put the cream cheese in the baking dish. Then, set the dish in the oven while it pre-heats for about 5 minutes. Take it out and it’s perfectly softened to easily blend in the rest of the ingredients. Easy peasy and saves you from all that stirring.
