Delicious Salami Pizza with an Orzo Pizza Crust for dinner when you’re craving pizza but not all the dough.
Welcome to the Group A reveal day for The Secret Recipe Club. I love this club since I get to learn all about a new blog and discover delicious recipes. This has to be one of my favorite Monday’s since we all reveal our recipes at once. This month I had the pleasure to discover a new blog and a new way of making pizza crust.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Secret Recipe Club here is a brief description. Each month, one member is assigned to another member from their group secretly (hence the name). That person selects a recipe to make and creates a blog post. Everyone in the group posts on the same Monday together and gets to see who had their blog and what recipe(s) they chose. And since there are four groups, each Monday of the month is a new “reveal day.”
My assignment this month was Thyme for Cooking Blog. Cute name, great recipes. Let me tell you a bit about Kate. She lives in France… France. How cool is that? I travelled there once. Got lost, but that’s just me. Her blog is all about recipes, food, insights about life in France and the trials and tribulations of restoring a French farmhouse. Sounds great to me.
She has many delicious recipes on her blog and it was not easy to find just one to make for this months club. She has several enchilada recipes, which I just love and the chicken and avocado one stood out for me. Then there was the chicken and mushroom risotto because I love a good risotto. Of course the Coquilles St. Jacques with shredded Gruyère cheese looks amazing too. Oh the choices!
I finally decided to make her Orzo Pizza Crust. We love pizza and I have made many variations of a crust and this one was new to me. I love orzo, so this has to be delicious, right? Kate made hers in a pie pan and it looked great. Unfortunately, I broke mine so I resorted to laying it out on a cookie sheet lined with foil. It was a more traditional pizza for me and I was not disappointed.
I’ve heard of cauliflower pizza but never orzo – what a great idea!
I’m definitely making it free-form next time…. That looks fantastic! So glad you liked it – and we love salami pizzas LOL

What an intriguing idea. I’d love to try it, maybe just for myself since my other half only likes the traditional type of pizza. Great choice.
