I love the holiday season with all the cooking, baking, family time and of course giving. It’s a busy time of year and I usually have at least a party or two to attend as well as throw. This year we are hosting the family Christmas dinner and I find Marie Callender’s pies makes my holiday entertaining easy. It’s my secret ingredient… shhh.

I always like to put a homemade touch on dessert and Marie Callender’s pies makes it easy for me to do this during the holidays. There are so many ways to do this and the creativity is endless! Some examples are to drizzle caramel on an apple pie or add chocolate or hazelnut sauce on the chocolate satin pie. Pies can be time consuming which is why frozen brands like Marie Callender’s pies are a great choice because they smell, taste and look just like homemade. No need to stress with making every dish from scratch, just add your own personal touches to a Marie Callender’s pie.Give your dessert a lift with Marie Callender's Pies and your own personal touch.

I did that with the Caramel Apple Pie. Marie Callender’s apple is probably a favorite of mine and caramel on top just adds to the deliciousness. The pie comes frozen with a packet of caramel sauce.

Hubby likes whipped cream or ice cream, but I like to add a personal touch to the whipped cream so I added some delicious cinnamon spice to it. Not only is it delicious but the cinnamon complimented the caramel apples beautifully.

I baked the pie, then added the cinnamon whipped cream then drizzled it with caramel. So decadent!

Did you know that the week before Christmas is the most popular time for purchasing pies? I didn’t know that! During December, more then 11 million pies are sold. That’s a lot of pie! And, according to a 2014 survey by Marie Callender’s, pumpkin has dethroned apple as American’s favorite pie to enjoy during the holidays.

The homemade goodness of Marie Callender’s pies makes dessert that much more delicious. You can get the sweet pie you crave and spend less time in the kitchen and more time entertaining and hanging out with family and friends. And by adding a personal touch, you make that pie all your own.
