Spring Onion Chicken dish that is perfect for summer parties or any event. It’s so much fun to make even your little chef would enjoy helping out.

Our granddaughter Sireya was here with us for 10 days in August and it was so much fun. She is a smart, beautiful girl who has an amazing personality and is a joy to be around. This was the first time she came to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Utah all by herself. It was an amazing 10 days and we did so much.
Sireya and I were watching Rachel Ray one day and Rachel was making a yummy looking chicken dish with rice pilaf. Sireya and I both knew at that moment we would be making it during the week. This recipe was not difficult at all and one your own little chef would enjoy making.
We were both so excited when we were planning her trip and came up with all sorts of things an 11 year old girl would enjoy; rafting, zip-lining in Park City, a visit to the Living Planet Aquarium, swimming and more. I knew she also liked to cook and help out in the kitchen, but what I didn’t realize is what a little chef she is!
She certainly knows her way around a kitchen and I knew it would be so fun to cook with her that I even bought us matching aprons from Flirty Aprons. They have such cute mother/daughter (or in our case, grandma/granddaughter) apron sets that I had a hard time picking out just one. They’re affordable too. She looks adorable in hers!
When we set out to make Rachel Ray’s Spring Onion Chicken, she was excited and did most of the work. She cut the onions, measured ingredients and sautéed the chicken like a pro. She made cooking dinner a pleasure.
Hi Lori,
Such a fun post! I love it when I see kids learning how to cook! Such important skills.
This dish looks delicious and I’m always on the lookout for new way to cook chicken.
Visiting from Food & Fitness Fridays. Great to discover your blog 🙂
