Some like it “hot” and I am one of them. Give me salsa, taco sauce, wing sauce or anything with that extra kick and I’m on it. I had the opportunity, or can I say privilege, to review Chef Cristiane Pereira’s Brazilian “I’m Hot” Gourmet Hot Sauce and needless to say I’m hooked.
About “I’m Hot” Gourmet Hot Sauce
– This is a unique homemade hot sauce made from an old family recipe. Each bottle is made from a small kitchen by Chef Christiane Pereira of Taste of Brazil Cafe in Chicago.
– Medium Hotness with a fresh tomato taste just like they serve in Brazil with a perfect balance of flavor and hotness. This is not extreme hotness, but rather a more mild or medium hotness that allows you to enjoy the delicious flavors of the peppers.
– Made with Malagueta Peppers from Brazil Tastes great on chips, Mexican Food, sandwiches, meat, etc. Comes in a 5 ounce bottles.
This sauce was good. I would put the ‘heat’ around a medium-hot. It not enough to make your eyes water, but you can feel the heat. The ingredients are all natural. Just Apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, onions, water, extra virgin olive oil, carrots, malagueta peppers, cane sugar, salt, garlic, and spices. There are no artificial colors , flavors, preservatives and ingredients.
One place I like to use sauces is in my hamburger. I decided to mix I am Hot Sauce in my burger meat that we were having for dinner. I put a half teaspoon in with a half pound of ground beef. I also added some green onion as well because I thought it would compliment the sauce in the meat. And it did. I thought it gave my burger some jazz and it was delicious. Hubby on the other had thought it was too hot for him, but he doesn’t like the heat as much as I do. But my burger was yummy. I think topping the burger with some pepper jack cheese to it next time would make it perfect.
