The big game is right around the corner. You know what that means? Parties and snacks!! And of course those commercials…. they can be so funny! We’re having a Super Bowl Party this year and I’m excited to celebrate the big game and enjoy food and fun with family and friends. Unfortunatly my San Francisco 49ers are not in it this year, but it won’t spoil my fun… next year for them perhaps. In the meantime, what to serve?
Thanks to Boursin Cheese, I have some great ideas. Boursin has cheese and spreads to please any of your party goers. Cheeses include Pepper, Garlic & Herb, Chive & aShallot and Red Chili Pepper. The spreads include more varieties including Garlic & Herb, Light Garlic & Herb, Spinach & Artichoke, Monterey Jack & Spicy Pepper and Creamy Asiago & Roasted Red Pepper. Such a great variety and I’d love to try them all at some point.
The possibilities are endless for Super Bowl party ideas. I used the Chive & Shallot variety as a spread for rosemary crackers. This cheese stands on its own!
The other snack I’m planning to serve my football loving guests are bacon wrapped crab & cheese stuffed jalapeno’s. The recipe name is a mouthful but these babies are delicious. I used the Boursin Garlic & Herb Cheese along with lump crabmeat as my mix for the poppers. We taste-tested them during the Indianapolis vs. Denver playoff game and they went on the list.
Super Bowl Party Poppers
4 jalapeños, sliced in half lengthwise, seeds removed
3/4 package Boursin Garlic and Herb Cheese
6 oz can lump crabmeat
4 slices bacon
Mix the cheese and crab. Put an equal amount into the bowl of the pepper and wrap with each with half bacon strip. Place on a wire rack inside on a cookie sheet (to catch excess bacon grease & hold the poppers up) and bake in oven at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. So easy!
Boursin Cheese is perfect for big game entertaining as well as having on hand at home for when you get the munchies. I’m not a cookie and ice cream kind of gal, so when I get the hankering for a snack I head for cheese and crackers. Boursin satisfies my snacking needs and the cheese is perfect for a light cracker. Boursin makes the possibilities endless. You can use it alone with crackers, fruits and meats or use it in a recipe like I did with poppers or you can add it to scrambled eggs for flavorful creaminess. The choice is yours so grab a box
