- 4lb chicken drummettes
- 1/3 bottle Famous Dave's Apricot Bourbon BBQ Sauce

- 2 tablespoons apricot preserves
- 1 tablespoon honey

|Rinse and pat dry the chicken drummettes. Place them in your slow cooker.|

After I tasted this little experiment, I knew the family would love them. I made them for a Father’s Day BBQ at my nephews and I will say they were a hit. It’s amazing what you can do with half empty jars of sauce, preserves and honey. The Famous Dave’s sauce was spicy with the hint of apricot so the preserves I added balanced that out.
And cooking so long in that sauce made the chicken literally fall off the bone. That wasn’t a problem with the chicken swimming in a pool of savory deliciousness. Pulled chicken sandwich anyone?
