Who here has heard of Yacon Syrup? I had not until I received this opportunity to review Quality Yacon Syrup. Yacon Syrup is beginning to capture the nations attention as a sweetener that aids in weight loss. Can that even be possible? It’s very popular in South America. Yacón is a perennial plant grown in the Andes region of Columbia and Argentina and is tasty and has health benefits too.
When I first told hubby about this opportunity he was so very excited. But then he realized it’s YACON syrup, not bacon syrup. He was anticipating putting bacon syrup on his pancakes, lol. Sorry to disappoint you sweetie! I let him know about the product and even that Dr. Oz conducted a Yacon Syrup Project. Hubby loves Dr. Oz so he was very curious.
Check out some of the benefits of Yacon Syrup:
- Potential for weight loss

- Clinical study shows efficacy
Now, I’m a coffee drinker but do not put sugar or any sugar substitutes in my coffee because they are way too sweet and I just don’t like the flavor. Hubby uses sugar in his coffee (I think too much, IMHO) so he was eager to give it a try. He said it was OK, which usually means it’s not sweet enough. That sounds good for me to try to I used it with my coffee and only used regular creamer instead of flavored since I wanted to taste the Yacon Syrup. Well, I was right. It sweeter the coffee but not in a over the top fashion. I liked it.
Yacon Syrup also works as an appetite suppressant. I found it did help with those afternoon cravings for chips or some other salty snack I tend to desire. So kudos to them for that! Not only will I avoid eating bad food but I’ll save money by staying away from the vending machine.
