Slow Cooker Southern Style Pork Ribs
|Prep time||5 minutes|
|Cook time||8 hours|
|Total time||8 hours, 5 minutes|
- 1 packet McCormick's Slow Cooker Southern Style BBQ Seasoning
- 1 cup Ketsup
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 Medium red onion (cut into quarters)
- 2lb pork ribs (cut into four sections)
Some slow cookers heat differently. Check halfway through and 3/4 of the way through for doneness
The slow cooker southern style pork ribs that were made here were so tender, moist and had a sweet tangy flavor that was a great compliment to the pork. By adding large chunks of onion, it gave the sauce lots of extra flavor without overpowering it. I prefer red onions for this very reason. I served this with corn on the cob since it seemed so appropriate with this recipe.
So there you have it. A simple recipe that will make everyone happy but won’t keep you in the kitchen for hours.
