Hello and Happy Monday everyone!!
Let me tell you about the Mystery Ingredient Blogger Showcase. About a month or so ago I signed up to create a recipe with the mystery ingredient they were going to send out. What was the mystery ingredient? Colman’s Mustard, both the powder and the liquid forms. The rules say we have to use at least one of the products in the recipe, but why not both? Challenge, accepted! I whipped up two recipes; this grilled flank steak and a stuffed chicken recipe. After taste testing, Hubby and I decided this one was the the bomb, so I submitted it. After anxiously waiting on a response, I received an email last night saying I advanced to the final round!! Oh, happy dance!! I’m so excited to share this grilled flank steak recipe with you and hopefully you’ll love it as much as we did. If so, will you please vote for me?
This recipe did use both forms of the mustard beautifully. The powder was used as part of the steak rub and the liquid helped create a delectable steak sauce that even my husband loved. And he HATES steak sauce. SCORE!

OK, I’m ready for some steak now! This is such a succulent steak recipe and I know you’ll just love it. Colman’s has happily provided a $1.00 coupon so you can try the mustard and make this amazing steak. If you’re a vegetarian, the steak sauce portion of the recipe would be great on pan seared tofu. Just click the graphic below to print your coupon.
If you think you’ll love this recipe (and I know you will), please hope over to the Mystery Ingredient Blogger Showcase and vote for me. The grand prize is a trip for two to London. Hubby and I didn’t get a honeymoon when we got married two years ago and would love to head to Europe. The only part of London I have seen was the outside of the airport from the inside of a plane as we stopped on the way to Munich. You can vote once per day from November 18 through December 1, 2013.

I have this problem. I really only know how to cook chicken. And recently pork loin. This looks so good and you make me think I could actually make it! Thanks!

Congratulations on advancing to the finals! I voted for you. This looks great. I’m not a big mustard fan on burgers or hot dogs, but I like it in recipes like this.

I love cooking with mustard – although I’ve never tried it with steak like this. This does sound very tasty and I bet this would be perfect for an easy entree to serve up to guests…

Thanks! It was very easy and I love that flank steak has a short cooking time. More time entertaining and less time in the kitchen. Have a great Thanksgiving.
This steak sounds fabulous. Thanks for sharing at Simple Supper Tuesday.
