Anytime you have juice and fruit, you have a smoothie in the making. I think just about any combination of fruits and juices makes a yummy smoothie and cranberry is one of my favorite juices so I add it to smoothies frequently. I also like to add it to bubble water to have a nice non-alchoholic spritzer from time to time. Add a wedge of lime and voila, a refreshing drink.
For this smoothie, I just used a few basic ingredients; 1 cup of Ocean Spray Cranberry juice, almost two cups of frozen peaches (thawed part way), a packet of Naturade Vanilla flavored Pea Protein and a bit of ice. Of course if you don’t have Naturade, any vanilla protein packet will do but you can also use yogurt. I popped it all into the blender.
I turned it to blend and let ‘er rip until it was the perfect chilled consistency for me. And the combination of cranberry and peaches was very tasty. This turned out so delicious!! I love the tartness of the cranberry juice too. If you want yours a bit sweeter, you can add some Splenda or another sweetener, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s perfect just the way it is.
