6 Ingredient Weeknight Meal: Baked Honey Chicken Drummettes

August 1, 2013

Winner, winner Honey Chicken Dinner!

HoneyChicken

We all love those easy weeknight meals that basically cook themselves so we can relax and spend some one on one time with that special someone. Yeah, that’s what I like to do sometimes. This past week when I got home late from work and hubby did as well, I needed a quick meal that will satisfy us both and leave little clean up. Honey chicken drummettes and rice did the trick!

When I was growing up, we ate lots of chicken. My parents split when I was 15 and we were rather “financially challenged.” We ate a lot of chicken wings and drummettes since they were pretty inexpensive. My mom got very creative in her cooking methods for chicken wings. Whether it was “Shake & Baked” or just grilled, she knew how to create variety so we didn’t feel like we were eating the same thing every day. I guess that rubbed off on me since I now do the same thing.

This honey chicken recipe is simple yet yields amazing results. It’s not overly sweet at all which is something I try to avoid. Ready to cook? Just click “next.”

Great recipe! I also ate a lot of chicken as a child, and like you, my grandmother would make a variety of recipes using the same ingredients and it was awesome! I also do the same with my son. He loves chicken too!

Thanks so much for sharing on Turn It Up Tuesday! We love having you! 🙂
