Hope you’re having a mighty fine day. What’s your favorite burger side dish? As you can guess from the photo, mine would be onion rings. I’m pretty picky on my rings. I don’t like them greasy or too bready. This recipe takes both of those out of the equation as they are baked to flavorful perfection. Check it out!
Onion rings are a guilty pleasure. The only problem is that sometimes they are more like “bread rings” then onion rings since some restaurants lay it on pretty thick. I’m really not into the beer battered style at all. I want the onion flavor and a nice light super crunch coating. So I present to you today a fairly simple recipe for parmesan onion rings with the cheesy addition to make these so much better. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.
That’s a good idea to have garlic and parmesan on the onion rings. I never have quite tried onion rings at a large scale, but I will keep that in mind the next time I’m planning a meaty meal … eh … like with steak and musrooms. That should really work well.

My husband and son love onion rings (me not so much, but I’m outnumbered). I know they will like your twist on onion rings with garlic and Parm. Heck, I may even like them!
These sound delicious, Lori. I love the use of parmesan with panko as the coating and buttermilk always makes everything taste better 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!

These sound great – and I love the addition of Parmesan! Thanks so much for joining us at last week’s All my Bloggy Friends …. We look forward to seeing what you share this week!
You don’t need the egg just the buttermilk. I’m a cook and private chef and I don’t use an egg at all. So next time you make them, try w out the egg, and it’s fun using chopped fresh herbs in the panko.
