Before hubby had his shoulder surgery last week, I decided to make grilled steaks since he wouldn’t be able to cut through anything for awhile after the procedure. He was all for it… we even made corn on the cob too. This recipe for a smothered steak uses red wine, broth, mushrooms and onions for a savory topping.
For this meal, almost all of it was cooked outside. Even the rolls we had. The weather has been so nice and hubby wanted to grill this one since he won’t be able to do this for awhile. When it warms up, we take our cooking outside for the most part. We still use the stove, but not nearly as much as the grill. That’s the corn on the cob inside the foil packs. I seasoned them with some butter, salt & pepper & drizzled them with red wine before wrapping them up.
